The Easy Reef 30 stand is the modern hour glass design with 2 black acrylic decorative shelves. We use a vinyl sealer to lock in the stain and create a moisture barrier and then top coat that with 2 layers of lacquer for an ultra smooth satin finish. Chances are we can get what you want for not much more than our standard pricing. Typically there is a $30.00 upcharge for off-the-shelf brands and $75.00 for a custom color match. ER 30 Return Pump The water return outlet back into the aquarium is a Locline multi directional outlet . Locline has become very popular over the last decade with aquarium users because of its ease of use and the ability to add multiple outlets. A 'Y' adapter can be added to provide 2 outlets, which can give water circulation to different areas of the aquarium. This is especially nice for Reef set ups. ER 30 Protein Skimmer The removable venturi protein skimmer is a nice feature on the Easy Reef 30, because when it comes time for cleaning there is nothing more frustrating then having to reach behind a built-in to the back filter to clean a protein skimmer that is not removable. This skimmer is 3' in diameter and uses a Rio 600 induction venturi pump. The skimmer is built from impact resistant clear PVC, which is virtually indestructible. The waste collection cup just lifts off the top of the skimmer body and should be emptied and cleaned with warm water on a regular basis (1/4 to 1/2 full). Airline to venturi pump should just hang over the back of the aquarium. Next to the pump is a water level control gate to adjust the height of the foam that will be rising into the waste collection cup. Typically the water level should be at a level so there is foam pushing up into the center column of the waste cup. 1 year manufacturer warranty on pump 2 prong plug @ 110 volts	ER 30 Lid Every Easy Reef 30 comes with a light weight, impact resistant lid that covers the entire main opening to the aquarium. This lid will prevent moisture from accumulating inside the canopy housing and getting onto the light fixture. Make sure it is always in place when you are not servicing the aquarium. ER 30 Hinge The easy reef 30 has a fully hinged canopy that is removable. The hinge itself is made from 3/8' high grade acrylic and utilizes high strength nylon bolts and nuts for long lasting durability and ease of removal. All edges are rounded for safety and then flame polished for a crystal clear appearance. ER 30 Lights The Easy Reef 30 includes a 2 x 65 watt Compact Fluorescent Light system. The polished aluminum reflectors are pre-mounted at the factory, saving you the hassle of installing them yourself. This system will give you over 4 watts per gallon of light and for a 19' tall aquarium that is plenty of light for any type of reef set up you may desire. For a fish-only set up, your fish colors will appear as they do in nature: Absolutely Stunning! There are 2 different lamps. One is a dual actinic spectrum and the other is a dual daylight spectrum. These lamps typically perform for 12-18 months before needing replacement. The end caps are waterproof and have a special harness to keep them in place over the course of time. This is a key feature not found on other compact fluorescent lighting systems. If the end cap is not secure it could lead to arcing and a short circuit could occur. Not a good thing! Lamps are also secured by a high-strength band that keeps them attached to the stainless bulb clips. The cables are heavy duty, and they attach to a remote ballast with independent switches for use with timers to control the actinic and daylight lamps separately. What can we say --- A Very Nice Lighting System. 1 year manufacturer warranty on ballast and 3 months on lamps (also uncommon). ER 30 Bio Media Chamber The Easy Reef 30 bio media chamber includes sufficient amounts of high surface area ceramic media. The shelf above the media holds your choice of any off-the-shelf brand of chemical media (just put in a nylon media bag and place it on the egg crate shelf). The removable drip tray above chemical media area is where the water from the aquarium is dispersed into tiny streams of water for maximum oxygenation. Then it passes through the chemical media chamber and onto the ceramic bio media where the bacteria perform their nitrogen process. CAUTION! Never remove or disturb the bio media once the aquarium is up in operation, as this will adversely effect the bacteria on the media.
